Hope you all had a good week.
After a gnarly birthday week of eating whatever the hell I wanted, Abby and I are back on our (modified) Whole30 bullshit. It’s the same just with rice, beans, and…whatever else we decide to add back in.

Here’s what I have for you this morning:
I finally got around to Emily in Paris Season 4 Part 1 and it did not disappoint. Feel free to hate on me but this trashy rom-com is worth every minute. In this season, things get a little crowded for Emily and she’s forced to clean up everyone else’s mess (per usual). The downside? We have to wait until September for the last half. (★★★★•)
Welp, it’s official: I finished my entire rewatch of New Girl and it ended up wayyy weirder than I remembered. Regardless, Schmidt is by far the best character in the whole show. Fight me. I dare you. Now I need another short sitcom to blow through during my lunches so I’m open to any and all recs! (★★★••)
Abby was in a scary movie mood so we saw Alien: Romulus and I have to say I’m pretty proud of myself for not balling my eyes out or peeing my pants with fear. I thought it was decent considering I hadn’t seen most of the other Alien movies. If you’re like me, then watch this recap from New Rockstars on 2x before you go. (★★★••)
As a belated bday present to myself, I got Black Myth Wukong for PS5 and this game is living up to the insane hype. It’s based on Journey to the West, a 16th century Chinese novel featuring the Monkey King with a Dark Souls-vibe, though nowhere near as hard as Elden Ring…so far. (★★★★•)
I decided to lessen the sting of our Whole30(ish) by making these Chocolate Coffee Energy Bites. They’re hella tasty, but I may have put a teeny bit too much coffee in them…(★★★★•)
Instead of movie night, Bob and Jess taught me how to play Monopoly Deal and now I’m freaking hooked. It’s Monopoly, but as a much easier card game where you collect properties and steal from others. We only personally attacked each other once or twice while we played. (★★★★★)
What happens when you mix some of the most famous punk bands in the world with the wholesome magic of Disney? Thanks to my buddy Parker, I’ve been listening to the end result and it’s glorious. (★★★★•)
