After seeing this post on Instagram about a possible sequel, Abby and I decided to watch The Devil Wears Prada and it still holds up. A+ acting all around but Stanley Tucci is by far the best part of this movie. Fight me on it. I dare you. (★★★★•)
Thanks to that sweet, sweet Spotify algorithm, I stumbled across Brat (the newest album by Charli XCX) and it straight slaps. It’s got an early 2000’s club vibe and it might just be the best pop album of 2024…so far. My top track is easily “Sympathy is a knife.” (★★★★•)
I could not be more ready for Deadpool & Wolverine at the end of this month, especially after watching their new ad spot cross-promoting The Bachelorette. No one can touch Ryan Reynolds when it comes to “fastvertising.” (★★★••)
Speaking of amazing sequels, Apple TV+ just dropped the date announcement for Severance Season 2 and OH MY GOD January can’t come soon enough. If you haven’t seen the first season, literally stop reading this, fire it up, and come back to this when you binge it all. I’m like 99% serious. I’ll wait… (★★★★•)
After what felt like an eternity, The New York Times finally shared the complete list of “The 100 Best Books of the 21st Century” and I immediately added three of them to my Amazon cart. Looks like I’ve got some reading to do. Anyone up for a “silent book club” this weekend? (★★★••)
Jesus. Christ. I guess you can now buy bullets from a vending machine because why wouldn’t you? I don’t know about you, but I’ll stick with the good ‘ol fashioned kind that sells…live crabs?!? (★••••)
Instagram hit me with some #foodporn this week and fed me this recipe for Chocolate Banana Croissants. This might be worth the tummy troubles that would 1000% follow. C'est la vie, I guess… (★★★★•)
Thursday was a pretty special day. After one year without drinking, I wanted to share my story because even in 2024, there isn't enough positive peer pressure. You can check it out here. (★★★★★)
This big milestone also fell on my dad’s birthday. After losing him to Alzheimer’s last year, I decided to get my next tattoo to commemorate both. (★★★★★)
